YT27 rock drills before use:What is a pneumatic rock drill?
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the workface roof by gently tapping to identify any potential hazards such as loose rocks or unstable formations. Address any issues immediately to prevent accidents and enhance safety measures.
3. Prepare the drilling surface meticulously. The location for the flat shell hole must be carefully leveled in advance to eliminate any risk of slippage or displacement during the drilling process.
4. Adhere strictly to wet drilling methods. It is imperative to avoid drilling 'dry eyes.' Initiate the operation by turning on the water supply first, followed by the wind. Conversely, cease the operation by shutting off the wind first, then the water. Begin drilling at low speed to ensure stability, and gradually increase to full speed as the operation deepens.
5. For safety reasons, drill operators must refrain from wearing gloves to maintain maximum tactile sensitivity and control during the drilling process.
6. When utilizing the air leg for drilling, maintain a secure and well-balanced posture. Avoid applying excessive body pressure or standing directly in front of the rock drill, especially under the brazing rod, to prevent potential injury from unexpected breakages.
7. Should any abnormal sounds or irregular water discharge be detected while drilling, halt operations immediately. Conduct a detailed inspection to diagnose the issue and rectify it before resuming work.
8. When retracting the rock drill or swapping the brazing rod, allow the drill to run at a slow pace. Pay close attention to the precise positioning of the rock drill braze to ensure smooth and safe transitions.
